Christmas at Costa is about small, comforting rituals and togetherness which could be celebrated through seasonal drinks, festive food and moments of indulgence. The creative needed to feel warm, recognisable and distinctly “Costa”, while flexing seamlessly across different formats and environments.

I translated the festive drink key visuals into a cohesive suite of assets across out-of-home, social and in-store, ensuring the creative retained its impact and clarity at every scale for Costa Coffee.

Alongside this, I developed a series of key visuals for festive food and drink pairings, carefully positioning each composition to hero the products while maintaining a premium, indulgent feel. The layouts balanced strong appetite appeal with clear messaging, helping customers easily navigate seasonal choices, while staying true to a defined set of campaign guidelines that needed to be consistently applied across all touchpoints.

To bring the campaign into the physical retail space, I created illustrated window vinyls in the form of festive baubles, drawing directly from the illustrated scenes featured on the takeaway cups. This helped bridge the gap between product and environment, creating a cohesive and recognisable festive identity in a playful way. Christmas tree cardboard ornaments were also created using elements from the cup illustrations, extending the visual language in-store.

The result was a seamless extension of the campaign that brought warmth, cohesion and standout to Costa’s Christmas experience, from storefront to screen.
